Marcus Twain Was a Tax Cheat

Marcus Twain was a clever man, from Hannibal, Missouri, who actually made his living as an author way back when, Who'd - through his notoriety for kindling 'confrontations' - acquired a reputation as a controversial man! Those who actually knew him say he simply loved to argue, and fighting hard to save a buck was high upon his list Of what he felt the 'wise' man did to lessen taxes owed by implementing loopholes that the IRS had missed. Known by all who'd read him that his 'whoppers' were his strong suit, Twain's exaggerations were the essence of his trade. His fiction won him world acclaim and wealth beyond belief, but had he paid the honest tax on all he'd actually made, Most of we who've never fibbed to fudge on what we've earned...even at a fraction of the dough that sucker did... Could have lived in luxury, like bleepin' kings and queens - on less than 10% of just the portion that he hid!
