Mara's Home
Dancing on the edge of enlightenment;
only to fall in the gorge again.
Its deepness enfolds the lure of Mara.
The echo of her voice from every rock chimes.
I sought her;
Following the trickle of the stream.
She asked me to go deeper
to the passion of the shadowed trees.
Enlightenment now looked so high,
such a lofty goal, unattainable by me.
So, I delved deeply into each crevasse
the gorge had to offer.
Wallowing for days in just one emotion.
I capture each vision in my pen
and vomit them out upon the screen.
Still, I wonder
how poetry would look
from enlightenment’s summit.
