Many Miles

Many miles I walked and walked. I tried to reach you in the haze. Your words like hail in a windy storm I could only deflect to find my way. You were all like marching soldiers Doing everything you were told. Your conscience swept away in floods That passed me watching on the shoreline. Your denial was as deep as the ocean Where murky rivers of problems met. I learned in waves of testy turmoil Those very many miles I walked, It was time to go, for you to swim. Sometimes letting go is the only way To see and for the haze to finally dissipate. Heidi Sands

This is so true but it is so hard to let go. You always think (at least I do) what if that was my last chance? This was really nice Heidi.

Unreciprocated love is always painful. Usually all one can do is let go. I feel the angst, Heidi.
