We do have the right to be who we are as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others to be who they are. Existing is not infringing.

Man or Woman By Franklin Price 7/9/2016 Man or woman, black or white Of these we have no choices. If we care how we are treated We must speak and raise our voices. Speak for ourselves and others If we care, or give a damn. You have the right to be yourself And I to be the way I am As we walk the paths of life And we meet one another We choose to be an enemy A sister or a brother Because the paths we've traveled Not the same for me and you We cannot always understand Why we do the things we do Have no right to force our views To require any change Can speak of where we're coming from Do not have to rearrange Can choose to try to get along Not argue who is right Arguing brings conflict Reasons for us to fight Must think to whom we're speaking Consider what we say Words should be chosen wisely When sharing paths along the way Directions taken, choices made At the end the dirt's the same How will you be remembered, When those left recall your name?

Very well said sir. A wonderfully well thought out poem that speaks a sensible truth. I can be a opinionated at times and have to remind myself that others are entitled to their opinion, a 7.
