Man In the Mirror
Clear away all the foggy steam and peer into it deeply
So much of it doesn't seem to be the way it used to be
For things change so slowly that many won't even realize
You're not who you used to be least through these eyes
All that innocence has since fled leaving you high and dry
From one who was once led to one who will no longer try
The best of you has retreated and given in to this place
Your faith all but depleted but for the Love of God's Grace
Do not turn and look away but look just a little bit deeper
All the things you used to say in that being who you were
Somehow that all got buried and so you just left it behind
Yet you needn't be worried in such forgiveness you'll find
So open up that treasure chest and again sing His Praise
Give Him all of your best as well as the worst of your days
One never needs to be so hollow with God so close at hand
All you need do is follow, your heart will help you understand
