Mama's Treasure

my mama's beautiful, long, auburn hair
was piled up high on her head
undone, hung to her waist
tanka
mama's lovely hair
was quite untouched by scissors
daddy loved it long
I wonder if her headaches
came from those heavy tresses
senryu
a beautician wrapped
my mama's hair in a bun
for her funeral
