Majesty of Mountains High
Father mountain sweeping high
destined to be shadowed long
grasping remnants of the sky;
purple majesty so strong.
Holding hikers at your feet;
trail blazers and nature guides.
Calling out,their words repeat
far above the water tides.
Fragranced splendor in the dark;
home to all God's finest creatures.
Every now and then a park
is chiseled deep within your features.
Painted fabric of each season
decorates your piney walls.
Giving out no rhyme or reason
pageantry of nature calls.
Mountain magic soothes the soul,
dipping into creeks and streams.
Peaceful solace 'round each knoll;
incensed trees made out of dreams.
May we hasten to a bend
where heaven meets each perfect bluff.
Each jagged cliff rise and descend;
this moment's backdrop is enough.
