Magic Twist
The offer to have and to hold can never be withdrawn.
All that one really possesses is their life.
Obviously it couldn’t go from bad to worse,
but it did.
He made no attempt to deploy the mirage.
Many times prior, under a shroud of melancholy squalor
he’d prevailed flaunting a wistful grim grin.
“These slings and arrows arouse no gloomy feelings
of depression should my demise bring you sorrow.”
And with that the assistant released the barrage.
After the applause,
a pause…
then the gasps-
Gaylord the Magnificent Perished At His Own Hand, the headline read.
