Magic of Christmas
I mailed a letter to Santa Claus yesterday,
it was a list of all the toys I’ve been dreaming-
Christmas was coming and sleigh bells on the way,
the trimming of trees with silver tinsel streaming.
To the North Pole he invited me, I was so frantic,
I’ve always wished to see the Winter Fairy Land!
I took a sled across the world over the frozen Atlantic,
just to watch the tiny elves build baby dolls by hand.
I arrived Christmas Eve and Mrs. Claus was so sweet,
she introduced me to the actual Frosty the Snowman-
Showed me her special recipe for my favorite treat,
I got over heated from excitement so she gave me a fan.
See, since a little girl I’ve been believing in this spirit,
so naturally these sights by my eyes were overwhelming,
Jingle Bells was sung so loudly I could really hear it,
as the beauty of twinkling lights were compelling.
I may be thirty-six but have never been superstitious,
for I will always believe in the magic of Christmas.
