Luna
the moon -
i want to ask her so many questions.
how did she find us?
she has seen thousands of years and
thousands of lovers
and i am not fooled for a second
that her presence is merely coincidental.
a twirl of her fingers and she sends
the tides crashing;
i have seen her linger in
your eyes.
i have seen her light wash over your face -
the moonlight looks good on you.
luna, kind-hearted luna, twirls her finger
and i am in your arms.
luna, god of everything innocent,
has shown me the fleeting moment
when the sun can kiss the moon.
you and i, we are not indefinite, we are
not guaranteed;
yet you are the sun i have been
dying to meet.
let me show you the stars.
