Lucky He Ain'T Dead
That boy ain’t gon amount to much,
he be in way deep
to too much bad stuff
That pig-headed kid
don’t listen to what any old folk say,
he think he know everything
Boasting that only suckers pray
Papa say that fool
don’t have an ounce of sense
in his empty head
Mama just sigh and say,
that boy
lucky he ain’t dead
Auntie say: Yes he is,
he just don’t know it yet
Billy goat boy is as stubborn as they get
Uncle frowns and reaches down
into his pocket, muttering:
Ain’t no jail cell that boy ever met to regret
Looks like I done sho’ nuff lost that bet
