Loyalty
I love too much
and It burns at every touch
I am hunted by many
But loved by all those who see joy in ways so petty
I am alone in my thoughts
When I close my eyes not a tear or a drop
Of what is left of a man who still has pride in his heart
So much bloodshed was it even worth the start?
Dreaming of change
That ended in in chains
But that is the way of the world
For those who reach past breath held and sneak out with a pearl
A dream of a chance
That there is such a thing as love at first glance
I loved so many and trusted them down to my last penny
I thought loyalty still existed between brother and kinsman
But that day is gone to the days of what isn't
I never lied nor cheated when it came to a brother
But gave them a home, food and even shared them my mother
Still it wasn't enough to have a roof and have love
Brothers in arms ha! that's long since a dream that is prayed to above
But I leave this for them know they never did break me
I'm stronger and wiser and no longer so easily shaken
I look in there eyes but they look at the floor
I guess pride and respect matters to me just a little more
Know I forgave from the start
I hoped we could share a dream but fell short by your simple remarks
Know I still love you even forgive you so humble
and when the ball drops and you finally stumble
you still have a brother hand out to pull you back as they crumble
