Loyalty

The spring awaits the fragrant roses of you cheek to bloom Let not the charm of your spirit be dampened by the gloom The passion to conquer the sky of knowledge isn’t destined to die Although caged, spread your wings, for one day you will fly The rosebud’s smile is a delusion and not a show of love Anticipating a romantic reunion the bee has danced enough Love may be a boundless desert of anguish and pain Yet my obstinate heart did not, from its pursuit refrain Your inner-self has lighted it or injury sparked the flame Leave your heart’s furnace alight; and your agony –tame Once it flows in the sea of past nothing will ever return Let me harness the waves of time –this art I crave to learn Dropped once these invaluable pearls will turn into a dust Hold them alight on your eyelashes even if cry you must No matter what adversities you are called upon to face For the triumph of vice, care not Yamin, and loyalty embrace

This is excellent, and I like the flow of each rhyming couplet. The figurative language used certainly paints a picture. I can see beautiful images especially in the second couplet. Great job! ~Joseph
