Loving the Fire

I was onve attracted to fire, Its tantalizing glow beckoned me.. On approach,it thawed my heart, And a tiny spark kindled my soul. The beauty of light bathed me, A red- tongued desire coursed through me. The Bride of Fire' I offered to be, Desiring to burn forever in its arms, But tge fire demanded more, Total consumption was its goal. It fed off my limbs to satiate itself, Emitted smoke to dull my senses. No kaleidoscope of colors, I was ash, cold and grey, Surviving by the thread to tell a tale, Of the demonic flame that couldnt be tamed...
