Author's Notes: "Love's Spirit Enchants Our Souls Entire," is a Shakespearean Sonnet I completed on November 9, 2018. I was inspired to write this particular sonnet because I wanted to focus on the enchantment factor and it affect and effect on our mortal soul, as each of us (or as a couple in the instance of this poem), begin finding our way to God to realize our final heavenly destiny and eventual ascension. This sonnet is a "sister sonnet" theme-wise to an earlier one I released on June 27, 2016 under the title of: "Love's Alchemy is Eternal." Enjoy the read!! Love’s Spirit Enchants Our Souls Entire Love’s an emotion infusing both of us holy pure, Whilst touching us with that spirit of the divine. Love becomes one with us as we seek to assure, And accept its spirit as it enchants our souls sublime. We exalt in love’s spirit by God’s own cosmic desire, Accepting its presence as it speaks to our mortal soul. God defines its true mystic purpose to us now entire, As we join hands as one in fulfilling our sacred role. Our destiny comes from love’s true majesty and certitude, As its spirit touches us in life and death, and in holy eternity. The angels oft speak to us of love’s radiant pure pulchritude, As its spirit prepares our souls for their final cosmic journey. We both share in love’s true spirit and glory, now and forever, And know this my darling—my love shall not leave you ever! Hello Carole, Many Thanks thank for your read here of my latest sonnet. You are very perceptive too. I, of course, write all of these love and romantic writes to and for my wife, Ingrid. However, my various poems like this one still have, I think, a carryover effect as well for other people who are fortunate enough to meet that very special person in their lives. A metaphysical write my friend...where love is brought to the center through cosmic awareness...not too many may understand this concept...but you do justice in your poem...well done Gary...you may have to tone it down for the layman lol...love & light...^WW^

Hello WW!! I really appreciate your read and prescient comment and thoughts here. You are definitely spot-on with what you say about "cosmic awareness" and its attendant implications in the metaphysical world. LOL!! It would be exceedingly difficult for me to tone down any write like this one, unless I lead off in my first verse with the exclamatory expression: Duh??
