Love's Punishment

Would I be punished for falling in love? Would i be punished for loving you? Would the God of fate and heavens above condemn me for feelings so true? Should my heart be chained? my love be slain because it dared to reach for you? Or is it better to have loved in vain then to hide from love's brilliant hue? For through love may bring pain and strife, it is the sweetest of life's treasures. And in your arms, i find my life filled with joy beyond all measures.
