Love's Opinion

You were my first opinion My best companion I couldn’t breathe without your opinion Although you made me cry like an onion You were still my second opinion My last even like the sting of a scorpion You were the lie of true love’s promise Of romance that only exists when we reminisce And selective memory wins the toss When our hearts are in fact covered in moss And we access the spilt loss Of milk, tears, love and all that mess The torn wedding dress, I miss Truth be known I have no other world to land on To take off to I hope you feel the same way too Because I was born Of this world I’m torn I lost patience with myself I have only you now to think of Love are you true? Will you ever come through The impatience of a hammer hitting a nail The force of gale against the empty shell of a snail My thoughts are no longer my own, I need you have faith in you again I don’t stand a chance outside your dominion Love, my only opinion
