Love You This Way

I still remember the first day when we met The first magical sigh that you gave The young beautiful girl I first met Is now old sleeping on this hospital bed Dear, do you remember the promises we made Please get alright cos it can't be made on this bed The doctor comes in and has his say Raising a hope by saying not to worry cos there's a way Looking at your wrinkled face Ageing for sure is a curse to human race I am looking around at the machines that are set Trying to understand but nothing's going to my head The beeps and the peeps that they make It scares me so I stay awake Will you ever laugh again? I'm scared cos you are in utmost pain I wish I could share your pain a bit Nothing much for me except to sit I have questions in my mind to make And I have tears ready to break Please don't leave me for heaven's sake We have our pending dreams to make We got to make that foreign trip And enjoy the exotic brew's every sip So dear , give your best to get out that drip If you plan to leave my hand And make journey to that unknown land Just remember that I would be left alone And soon be turned into a stone Just be strong and face the storm And come back in a healthy form Aspirin, Rantac, Statins working all the time Something wrong happens I am going to commit a crime Darling come back to me We've got our grandchildren to see I have nothing much left to say But remain still, quiet and pray
