Love Thieves (Shake the Disease)

i won't hang around for the furrows around your lips to point to the floor i've had enough for tonight so here you are my final insult i hope it tears as it kills i'm taking my will along with me i won't leave it behind for you to poke and pry with your saudering iron like you did with my dignity the same time last year today yeah i won't hang around where i know i'm no longer wanted pathetic but not that pathetic i guess i've still got my pride somewhat mal-deformed but still in working order like the nicks in the sharpener damaged goods are still goods one way or another love like theft bullet-like cliches they pierce just as deep no matter how many times you say them so scream your head off stick those words like pins in my ears so i can no longer hear them i've had far more than enough for tonight a whole week if you'll know it far more pain than pleasure why do we do it to eachother? love like disease cancer-like cliches they grow just as big no matter how many times you shake them (this is rare... most of what i write (besides the blatantly fictitious stuff) is based around feelings or events that are fairly recent... this one however, pries very far back into my memories. hmm... i guess i'm getting old... but then aren't we all...? har har.)
