Love Revisited
When very young I loved my Teddy Bear
Warm and fuzzy he slept with me at night
Together we faced life without a care
And if I was scared he could make things right.
Then adolescence reared its ugly head
He stayed in the closet with other stuff
For he no longer rested in my bed
I discovered boys, life really got tough!
As an adult there were many new loves
They would lift my heart in so many ways
Men, chocolate, flowers and turtle doves
When love is truly felt it always stays.
Old age appeared with a new life at hand
I still feel love and warm feelings are there
Thought men are but few, and chocolate banned
You see, I still remember my Teddy Bear!
