Love Letters
Love letters
Letter by letter this alphabet of tainted love
Word by word I’ve written it with my mouth
Many times each day I say to you how much
That I love and need you in my life
I have proven it with self and soul
Action and deed with sacrifice and trust
So I have to ask myself in truth and pain
Can and should this flame rekindle in my heart?
I see the same needful sparkle in your eyes
But in reality is it simply for me or?
One thing I know for sure, we all make mistakes
And there is no doubt that we love each other
So I sigh and question my flawed judgment
Since the objectivity I once had is now long gone
Do your words have even the slightest
Ring of sincerity or truth?
