Love makes everyone blind, blind to everything we need to see.

Love is blind they said, As you grinned at my music and faked a like, and my CD collection, piece by piece, took flight. Love is blind they said, As I cooked every meal, every vegetable, every roast, every potato, in that central work site. Love is blind they said, As my friends more and more became “Hi, we should do coffee” where "should" clearly meant never. Love is blind they said, As I opened my cupboard to find less of my clothes and more of some alter ego man's leather. Is love blind, I ask, if I fade to you. The me of me becoming more shades of black and less rainbow. Is love blind, I ask, if my dreams flutter out the window of your whim, I'm just an emotional sideshow. LOL, love is not blind. It’s vicious. It beat me down with: One long steady glare. One long steady stare. Love looked right through me, it saw how to feed and it bloated. It sees the empty bowl it created by theft. Love came, love saw, love conquered, love left.
