Love Is All Pretend

You took my breath away, Whispering "Baby please stay." You held me tight, It felt so right. I didn't think it would end, How could I have known it was all pretend? Drunken fights, Sleepless nights, It was more than I could take, I was ready to break. Didn't back down, So you started slapping me around. Accusing me of cheating, Just so you could give me another beating. You spoke only lies, But I found the truth in your eyes. It took me awhile to see, That you were just using me. Is it any wonder that I cant trust, Don't believe in love, only in lust?

Sad part is this really happens and one bad relationship can make one weary of opening yourself up to future ones.. But doing that you'll end up cheating yourself from having true love in every sense of the world.. I dig this one too Gracie, WNN
