Love Is All Pretend
You took my breath away,
Whispering "Baby please stay."
You held me tight,
It felt so right.
I didn't think it would end,
How could I have known it was all pretend?
Drunken fights,
Sleepless nights,
It was more than I could take,
I was ready to break.
Didn't back down,
So you started slapping me around.
Accusing me of cheating,
Just so you could give me another beating.
You spoke only lies,
But I found the truth in your eyes.
It took me awhile to see,
That you were just using me.
Is it any wonder that I cant trust,
Don't believe in love, only in lust?
