Love is the most wretched emotion! Watch it bring a strong man to his knees. Still he would not trade his broken heart. Love is a confusing emotion. It is a blend of pleasure and pain. Once we have tasted we will not stop. Love is a transcendent emotion! It helps us see ourselves at our best. As we are seen through true loves eyes. Love is much more than an emotion. Love's evidence is all around us. Do you recognize Love's Purest Form? For Sheri Frosonke Harper's contest " Three or more thoughts on the same idea." Great idea for a contest Sheri, thanks for the inspiration.

No matter what form it comes to us in, there is no doubt that love is all around us. Sometimes, in a good way or a bad way, but it is always there, just waiting to be found. I enjoyed this poem, Richard, very nicely done! I wish you the best of luck in the contest!

Richard, thank you for your comment. This is a wise poem. Love does have its downside, especially when it is not shared. On the other hand, we can love what we do all by ourselves.

You did her challenge well, my good sir. I saw a few little things (related to what my soupmail was about). for example, transcendent. with an s. Just to let you know. I rarely mention that kind of stuff under people's poems. I just say generally how their poetry appeals to me since I am here to simply enjoy myself. It does not surprise me you are Virgo. You, of all people, can relate to how I see things, since we Virgos are so analytical. I see it in you and I admire it!
