Love Consumed

My heart is torn asunder, her words echo in my soul like thunder. As she turns her back and walks away, I feel my body start to sway. I drop to my knees and whisper her name, knowing in my heart I will never be the same. Her actions bring an almost physical pain, every moment is a battle to remain sane. But I know that this fight with myself is hopeless, so I let go and slip into welcoming darkness.
