Love and Care

We love our parents We defend our brothers and our sisters, fiercely, from verbal or physical assault Some love their co-religionist At least, they may care about him When their co-religionist cries in Australia, they can feel his pain in Canada How much love can you feel for someone whose language, whose religion whose race is different from your own? Can love, can care, be legislated?

If we had more love in the world wouldn't it be a better place Who cares what religion people follow or the colour of their skin. We live in hope. Tom

In present-day America race and religion is everything... What does that say for the 'melting pot' theory?! Thanks, Tom
