Love Abates

Hanging on hope, acknowledging I wade along through empty promises Away, farther and farther, I drift Outside realms of delusions I’ve seen And like a child hold to Words ever spoken in faith, august By a Father who loves unconditionally Each person regardless of hue, Origin, creed, ethnicity, religion… All, differences imposed, willfully Inciting division, one generation to next And like dominoes, each falls … Fear, animosity thrive as love abates ~*~

This was an exceptionally well thought out poem, Annalise, and one whose conclusion provokes emotion and profound thoughts. Carl.

A beautiful eulogy penned. The intemperate desire to excell puts nation against nation and race against race. We do, indeed, live in fear of our projected and inflected differences. Only in the millenial reign, will the Prince of Peace break down the interior and exterior walls. Enjoyed your apt homily!
