Author's Notes: This is a "Tanka" or a Japanese verse form write on the subject of "Love." For this write, I've looked at "Love" from the perspective of it being a most emotive force and that intangible something that is so special to all of us as human beings. As most may be aware, "Love" can both be a rational and an irrational force which can and does shape people individually, as a couple, or even in a group. It can also make people very happy and can make them very sad, depending up the circumstances at hand. When two people meet and fall under Love's mesmerizing influence, it acts as that all-important catalyst and synergy which can unite two people as one in heart, body, and soul. This particular view about "Love" actually reflects very much my own personal view of how this powerful emotional force can shape the destiny of two people or can tear their lives asunder. The syllable count for this Tanka is: 5-7-5-7-7 (for a total of 31 syllables). (Gary Bateman - November 19, 2014) (Tanka poetic format)
