Loud Thoughts

I'm trying to write a poem, so I need to sit here in peace. Just an hour or so, at least. Could you please be quiet? I'm feeling a little on edge, but I've managed to stay calm by listening to my favorite song. Could you please be quiet? I'm burning a soothing candle that smells of creamy toffee. Of this stress, I must be free. Could you please be quiet? I'm sitting here by myself and I still can't concentrate. It's getting really late. Could you please be quiet? I'm going to need some sleep. You’re still here, playing your games. Let me get to the end of this page. Could you please be quiet? I'm thinking all day long. Because of you, I can't forget hopes for tomorrow and yesterday’s regrets. I told you to be quiet.
