I wait, then rush, too lost in dreams
just sit, contemplate, perhaps abashed
as rest of the world rushes past
persistent yet cautious
unencumbered by rule
trajectory undulates but I'm not a fool
the right to linger
freedom of thought
cannot be shaped or lesson taught
path is seen by me alone
or lost by me should mood dictate
seeking the meaning of life, prepared to wait
