Lost Not To Love

If for love you lost your heart To someone that cares and shares: a friend You got a case with the potter of your heart For he molded for you to share and not lend If for love you lost your heart To the flowers and flavors of his world Sit upright and ponder on his little light The flowers will one day fade and flavors will fall If for love you lost your heart To golden cities, scepter and sword On day you will say goodbye and they will never cry For you met them here a borrowed world If for love your lost heart Think of the creators breath’s in the beginning We all borrowed from it to live and yet A million breaths is still with him If for love you lost your heart To someone you love and cherish so much You are in the shoes of Samson before Delilah For love is not so weak as such Love is meant to share and care And not to lose what you’ve got to share Keep your heart oh morning star That you may always share your light each day with your love
