Lost Love

I once lost you my friend, You were hidden deep, I thought this was the end, 'Til smirk on my face you crept. From within my blank stare, Eyes glazed for many miles, Black pupils, as I wasn’t there, As lips turned into smile. Friend, you insisted from beneath, Now aching to be let past, My clenched grip & white teeth, Your presence heard as a laugh. Rushing out from my throat, While my belly starts to rumble, Those around me almost gloat, As you break pace into a chuckle. Tingling sensation over me, As a dance, skip & jiggle, This visit has been welcomed, My dear friend, contagious giggle. (c) 2015 PJ Bayliss
