Lost Love
I gave her a rainbow wrapped in clouds of pure white
I gave her a waterfall that she may bathe by starlight
I gave her gentle winds that they may caress her soft skin
I gave her a green valley that she may frolic within
I gave her stars from the sky that she may find her way
I gave her streams of sunbeams to brighten her day
I gave her a flock of birds including a white-winged dove
I gave her all these things and then offered her my undying love
I gave her a wry smile as she reached out and gently squeezed my hand
I gave her a slight nod of the head to show I did understand
I gave her a soft whispered goodbye as she turned to slowly depart
I gave her a special place in my memories which I still hold in my heart
