Lost In Space

The floating satellite Was sending pictures back, We saw the worlds up close And endless miles of black. But then a massive craft Appeared and beamed an arc. Our satellite was hit And everything went dark… Jack Horne for Nathan’s Deep Space contest

Congratulations on winning with this entry. You just might be describing the inevitable fate of the Voyager probes we sent into space years ago.

Earth to Mission Control....Earth to Mission Control?.....Is there anyone out there?.....Love the brevity of this poem and sudden power loss at the end...Aeronautics is risky business and I salute anyone who takes this on as a career...Enjoyed this clever write. :) gwendolen
