Written: June 23, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ Extemporaneously, all seemed lost. As flames of anger consumed what we had built, Our love, once vibrant, is now adrift and tossed, In a tempestuous sea, our hearts wilt. In the ember embrace, our love did ignite. A passion so fierce, burning bright and true, Yet the fire that once united us now ignites A storm of emotions, tearing me and you. Yearning for the past, when our love shone bright, But now, in the ashes, our love unfurls. Without premeditation, we let anger bear hold. Blinded by fury, we let our love grow cold. But deep within the embers, a glimmer remains. A flicker of hope, a chance to break these chains Improvisationally, we hear our hearts cry. Whispering regrets and longing for another essay, On the spur of the moment, we lost our way. But in the ember embrace, we can find a fresh day. Let us gather the fragments of our shattered love. And rebuild the bridge that we once dreamed of, In the ember embrace, there lies a chance, To rekindle the fire and renew our romance. Let us learn from the mistakes we made. And let forgiveness and understanding cascade. Extemporaneously, we lost sight, Of the love that once burned so bright. Let us embrace the ember glow. And let our love once again blossom and grow, So let us not dwell on the moments we lost. Instead, let us focus on the future host.
