Lost In Art

I can't read these words that don't make sense I can't hear these notes that don't fit together I was called upon to make sense of a world that is an unspoken child of something that we have not seen To connect the dots of a constellation in a sky without stars To dream of a tomorrow that holds nothing You try to take hold of it all, But you can't You carry it all on your shoulders Then you fall And it breaks But trying to fit the pieces back together is how we make it through We call it art. We nurture it until it becomes us, We find ourselves in it, We are born again from it, Suddenly art becomes your drug There is nothing stronger than it. Nothing that you want more than it Wanting so bad for it to guide you Guide you to heaven It will lead you away into a land where you learn how to struggle and how to die, but then how to live again. It took me to that land The earth was gone A dream became real life And my head got stuck in the clouds Then I disapeared To a place where acceptance doesnt matter Neither does reality Neither does air Just dreams And you want so much to get lost there But the time comes where you must go back Say goodbye to your heaven and hello to the real world And when you dream, you dream of your getting lost in your art Hoping that again You will disappear And this time don't come back
