Lost in a world of poetry am I Secluded in the lines of love sublime I shut myself to pain, oh how I try To live vicarious through every rhyme In this my world there is no grief or pain And I can be enchantress to a dream I dance around the words till moon does wane Then let word sunbeams plunge my heart in streams I care not what the world thinks of my state A love sick fool I am drunk on this wine To read of love, my heart can hardly wait Each line, a lover, come with me to dine I am enslaved to poetry, it’s true My heart, it sings when I read lines from you Eileen

I got introduced by a friend who saw a few of my poems on a friends 2facedbook poetry page - it took her a month to convince me my poems were worthy of wider publication - she has changed my life forever! I know I would never have coped especially over the last year without this previously hidden creativity giving me the opportunity to express myself :-) Hugs Jan xx

It's our escape mechanism....or coping mechanism...or what have you. People say that cyber friends, people...are not real. I tell you, some people here know me better than people I see on a day to day basis...Isn't that something? This community is as real as real gets. I'm so happy I fell upon this site by accident. I was helping a friend prepare something for her school program...I came here...and I got hooked. Thanks for being a great friend.

I think you have captured for so many of us how we feel about art in general. I can not tell you how often I have been seduced by the love of poetry. As if I were undressing as I read the words of a poetess. I can not tell you how often I have cried or just wanted to hug one of my brothers here how beautiful their words were. I love your sonnet. It has many layers one could peel back for many more understandings than what I have written about it!

:) I feel the same, Maurice! :) I'm glad you like this piece. I was reading some fine sonnets tonight. I got inspired. I do love this form. It just is so natural. Your poetry is so full of passion! It is REAL! I love it. You might like to read my poem...And the Poetess Said. Talk about undressing! ;) Thanks for your support. I've been in need of it lately. Hugs
