Lost At Sea
fixated eyes on unsail worthy lies;
black emptiness
which once held oceans
green greed algae
spreads across
stagnant thoughts
of ships that rot
while lost at sea
seagulls flock
dip, peck,
dip, peck,
at what lies beneath
as salt winds blow
what's left and found
baited line cast with
hopes of a mermaid hook
that has leads of nothing more
than back to shore
drag your line -
time after time
time after time
time after time
