Losing My Religion

World is in trouble such terrible strife Droughts, floods, famine and the drugs are rife Countries fighting and blowing each other into submission Can anyone wonder really why I'm losing my religion Earth is slowly falling apart thing called Global Warming Humans couldn't care less they won't heed the warning Cities full of drug addicts and single or unmarried mothers No hope for the children when people have no time for others The fathers are in the gutters or sometimes even prison Is it any wonder really that I am losing my religion Lived with the love of my life and still I don't understand After twenty years she just up and left me for another man Gave her my all, everything my whole heart and my soul Never even said goodbye to me how could she be so cold She was my bird of paradise but I was only her stoolpigeon Surely you understand now why I'm losing my religion Mother Nature is even angry now she's causing lots of havoc Time we stood up and took notice, time we started to panic Such a wonderful world around us but we only show it neglect Surely, it is never too late to start showing a bit of respect Lets' all get together and pray start making the right decision If we show a bit of faith, perhaps we'll stop losing our religion
