Lord God, You Are My Sovereign Commander
July 13, 2023 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 34-37
Key Verse – Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SOVEREIGN COMMANDER
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your might
Thank You for ruling over me with Your heavenly light
For me to be filled with Your loving kindness’ delight
So that I can obey You, surmounting dreadful fright.
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your power’s establishment
Thank You for protecting me within Your fortress-settlement
For me to be guarded against harsh engagement
So that I can conquer temptations’ allurement.
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your greatness
Thank You for causing me to bow down to Your gloriousness
For me to be strengthened from my feebleness
So that I can walk upon Your paths of holiness.
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your compassion
Thank You for rebuke me of my transgression
For me to be corrected against blurred divine vision
So that I can fulfill Your assigned mission.
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your leadership
Thank You for upholding me by Your gracious workmanship
For me to be trained in Your discipleship-partnership
So that I can become fruitful in my servanthood of praise-filled worship.
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your deliverance
Thank You for directing me with Your Word’s assurance
For me to be instructed with Your guidance
So that I can reach heights of service-performance.
Lord God, You are my sovereign Commander along Your growth-reward
Thank You for making me root downward and bear fruit upward
For me to be shielded by Your presence as I go forward
So that I can arise to minister well as Your faithful steward.
