Lord God, You Are My Righteousness' Hewer

July 17 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 51-55 Key Verse – Isaiah 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY RIGHTEOUSNESS’ HEWER Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your blessing Thank You for comforting me with Your salvation bracing Surely awakening me from sin-caused oppressing To overcome reproaches of reviling and cursing. Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your truth’s foundation Thank You for freeing me from captivity’s destruction Surely alerting me against iniquities’ affliction To conquer fainting caused by fear-oppression. Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your holiness Thank You for ruling over me with Your loving kindness Surely assuring me Your sanctification for my sublime joyousness To fight uncleanness midst filthy worldliness. Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your revelation so wondrous Thank You for making me divinely desirous Surely admonishing me to be heavenly prosperous To vanquish cravings against being carnally adventurous. Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your strengthening Thank You for propping me of my faith that’s weakening Surely alleviating me with Your mercy for my spiritual winning To prevail over trials causing grievous straining. Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your everlasting care Thank You for keeping me in Your covenant’s welfare Surely affirming to me Your love I must share To remain calm against terrors of unpleasant scare. Lord God, You are my righteousness’ Hewer along Your delight Thank You for commanding me to seek Your might Surely attending to me with Your grace for service might To smite futility of pride’s blight.
