Looking For You
It is a white-hot summer day
The sky is a clear bright blue
I get out of the car and walk to the water
I'm going to look for you
I cut through the water, diving deep
For me, this is nothing new
I will not find what I am looking for
I'm going to look for you
I climb up to the tallest branch
This won't give me a clue
But you led me here, so here I'll go
I'm going to look for you
I climb up to the bell tower
The place where, off you flew
Even though I know that you're not here
I'm going to look for you
I sit in your closet
With clothes that you've outgrew
Even though the rope is still here
I'm going to look for you
I sit at the funeral, not saying a word
Your pale skin almost see-through
Even though I don't want to admit you've left me
I think that I've found you
