Look An Aardvark

I felt happy as a lark, I watched an aardvark; As I sat in a giant arc. Next, I waved hi to Mark, As he jogged in the park. He wanted to catch Clarke. Then I noticed a dog bark, That resembled a gray shark; Lastly, had to run; it got dark. Alexis Y. 03/11/2022

Hey my friend your Aardvark, an ant eater word originated from the Dutch/German origin. In South Africa it is known as an Earth Pig. Afrikaans in South Africa, is a relatively young language and was developed from a combination of German, French, Dutch and Flemish and is spoken by most Afrikaans speaking people. Besides my boring History Lesson, this is a seriously fun poem, and congrats on your win Alexis. Hugs and love Jennifer.

This poem kind of reminds me of a Limerick Alexis. Fun and light. I haven’t been able to create even one Limerick yet. Happy St. Patrick’s Day blessings xxo
