Longing

I miss you with every inch of my flesh Every single minute of my breaths Every morning I’ll try to refresh My soul, my spirits, my depths Longing for you in every thought of my brain Till I feel completely drain. You left me there, Not knowing if I lost or gained. You didn’t want to be there anymore You closed that room, that door. It’s that intangible, as it's that profound. You left us there in our playground For us to see, what would we leave behind. I wish I could forgive you, If only I knew how to hate you. I wish I could forgive my ways But my heart knows no regrets. I miss you with every inch of my flesh You see, alas, our souls didn’t mesh Time will heal You’ll see - it will As we slowly peel That pain, that I want you to steal. I miss you with every inch of me.
