Long Island Iced Tea

This is an alcoholic drink invented at the Oak Beach Inn. It contains light rum, triple sec, and gin. Included in the mix is a good share of vodka. Also thrown in is a hefty helping of tequila, It's all topped off with a splash of cola. Most claim it's from New York, but some disagree. There are others who believe it came from Tennessee. The drink may look like tea, but heed this warning: Imbibe too much, and you'll be sick in the morning. I thank wikipedia.org for information I obtained to write this poem

Sounds like a potent drink, Robert. I'll stick to wine, thank you. / Maurice

Your poem about iced tea gave me the idea to write this one.

A fun tribute to a fun cocktail! This flows so nicely. Texas has its own version of this drink too, by the way, called "Texas Tea."

There's another variation of the drink that is made with blue curacao and lemon-lime soda in lieu of triple sec and cola. Due to its profane name, this website won't allow me to mention it here.
