Lonely Walk

If I could cry a million black seas I would at least drown and sink away From this tree of forbidden fruits Bearing hope but sharing pain. Turning away does not blind the mind's eye Swimming a sea does not bleach my black heart So here I stand weeping by your door Even after a hundred hatchet blows. The contempt and hate you spare me Are real extreme yet to live alone I fear So I would rather drown by you Than take the lonely walk to my waiting tomb.
