Lonely Lamp Post
She was a lamp post
The moths were drawn to her light
A phenomenon really
But the moths did not contribute, they just stole from her
For they didn't know any better
They only knew how to survive
She wanted to turn it off, But it forever stayed on
Not a single moth ever stuck around very long
Just long enough to draw from the light
Then they'd fly away
And she was just a lonely lamp post
Always standing tall and strong
Giving all of her light and receiving nothing in return
