Lonely is the life of a writer- for we seek solitary places, off the beaten path. Sometimes, I wrap myself in loneliness. Not to say, I am forlorn or forsaken but I am a writer of sadness, entwined completely in my words and poems. I like a lonely road. Lost in thoughts, I meander a cemetery at times. It may seem gloomy, in reality, it is full of peace and tranquility, could I ever find a quieter place. Nothing is more secluded. I go hiking and love to listen to birds sing. Ever feel alone, although in a crowd of people, I have many times. Solitary does not mean lonesome or friendless or abandoned. Sweet is the life of a writer- for we seek out aloneness. _______________________________________ July 22, 2016 Poetry/Acrostic/Loneliness Copyright Protected, ID 16-810-877-0 All Rights Reserved. Hi Constance, well it looks like i have to send you a congratulations on a win in a contest. This write is so true, although some of us have always known loneliness, not chosen. This write is real, an acrostic that just has to be read. The words say it all Constance. Excellent write. This has to be a seven and a fave. Hugs....Mike. XX

Love this one too, dear. I am JUST like you, except I am just as happy in my alone-ness to be at the computer or in my house as out on a walk. I so relate to this one. This deserves a high win.

I really like your 'loneliness' poem, Broken Wings. I believe creative people, like serious poets, artists, and musicians, are born with the 'aloneness' gene which helps them to look within on a more emotional and creative level and become more the 'observers' of life...always on the outside, looking in. Best wishes for the contest. 7 Hugs, Sandra
