Loneliness

Loneliness, such a killer You stalk me around corners Trying to smother me with your dark presence I hate you for blocking out my light Loneliness, such a killer Creeping up on me Unable to break free from you You drown me, I can’t breathe no more Loneliness, such a killer My chest heaving as I run to avoid you All my senses battle against you Struggling to see the light high up above Loneliness, such a killer Why can’t you just leave me alone Don’t seek out my company My whole being shying away from your name Loneliness, I beg of you Please leave me alone Allow me to be free I can’t bear to be lonely anymore
