Locked In a Closet

Locked in a Closet John Arwood and Amber Campbell Had taken quite a gamble And found themselves trapped by a closet door Not hearing anyone They dialed 911 They needed help and that’s what they asked for For 2 days they’d been trapped Although they rapped and rapped They said the door just wouldn’t budge a bit When the cops arrived They were sure surprised The facts and John and Amber didn’t fit The scene, it wasn’t pretty In fact the floor was shitty Drugs and feces covered up the floor And adding to the shock The door, it wouldn’t lock They could have left if they had pushed the door The pair is not at large Trespassing has been charged Some may laugh about it, if they like But drugs will cloud your mind And locked closets you will find Please heed this warning from your Uncle Mike

hahaha. what a loony pair. I take it that this is based on something in the news. this makes for fun poetry. like the time i wrote about the guy who adopted a ferret that had been injected with steroids and he was told it was a toy poodle. That was hilarious . I think it was a ferret. you gotta google it!!

OK - you hooked me. What is the name of your ferret poem and is it posted here on poetry soup? As always the poem was based on a real story and Uncle Mike needed to make a point with all of his readers (meaning all of you of course).

Funny poem based on that couple in the news. They were trapped but to high to try pushing the door.

When I saw the picture of this couple and read the account - I just knew they and it deserved a poem. Thanks for reading it and giving me your comments. Mike
